Images at this site were taken on a travel-study trip to Ecuador in March 2004. Sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the purpose of the trip was to create a video documentary about Jeanne Meier, a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador and a native of New Glarus, Wisconsin. Professor Bill Johnson organized and led the trip. I was invited on the trip to provide photographic documentation. The group of two faculty and two students traveled to Quito, Esmeraldas, and finally Bolívar, a small island village on the coast in the state of Esmeraldas. Sites along the way are included in these pages. The last images in these pages focus on the village of Bolívar with special emphasis on the children.
